I have spent the past couple of months touting miles and points as a means to earn and redeem for an almost-free vacation. However, sometimes paying for a flight is a necessity, for instance you may be short on points or have no points at all, the airline has limited award seats, or you prefer paying low fares for domestic flights to save your miles for a better redemption value like an international award ticket.
Finding cheap airline fares is not so easy to do. There’s no algorithm or magic ball that can predict when airline prices will fall. When I plan a trip I personally check online daily, sometimes every morning and evening, to find a low fare, and I have on multiple occasions. I’m well aware that most people aren’t as methodical or disciplined as I am to check daily (or you have better things to do with your time), that’s why there are other programs and websites that can do the work for you.
One such website is Airfarewatchdog. They identify low fares for your specific route and send you alerts when prices drop. It’s not a computer program scanning the web, rather, human beings searching hundreds of routes daily and actually verifying that the routes are bookable online. Saves you time and, in many cases, money.
How Does This Work?
To search for low fares on their website, go to airfarewatchdog.com and input your Departure City and Destination City, then press Find Fares.
If you want to receive alerts, which I highly suggest, you can do so on the main page or go to My Fare Alerts, which allows you to pick specific alerts:
-
City to City – roundtrip fares for a specific route (HNL-SFO or HNL-OAK)
-
Departure City – input your local airport to find roundtrip fares to different cities
-
Hotelwatchdog – compares hotel rates in a specific city
-
Frequency – daily, 2-3 times a week, or weekly
Considering that both the medications are essentially one and the same, it means that if you levitra prices it’s possible to make big/bulk purchases. However, natural treatments for BPH can certainly viagra without prescription help. It is good taking the medicine on empty stomach so as to find timely and benefiting erection order levitra for a good period of time.
You can always edit your searches or the frequency in which you receive emails by going to your settings or opt out on the email newsletter.
Is This Worth Doing?
I find this website very helpful in finding low fares. What I like most is that they have a team of people researching the fares and making sure they’re bookable before posting. They even add notes on the dates the fares are available or other helpful hints to book the ticket. Some sites show low fares, but then it’s difficult to find them on the airline’s website.
In the picture above, I did a test search on their website for Honolulu to San Francisco. They found low fares at $311 roundtrip, so I tried to find them on Hawaiian Airlines using the feature “flexible date search” which pulls up a monthly calendar view. I found several dates that offered the fare, but you’d have to be pretty flexible to book this trip.
Tips to Keep in Mind

Airfarewatchdog is not a booking service. You’ll need to go to the airline’s website to check if flights are available, then book you flights from Delta, United, American, etc.

Thanks for posting. I didn’t know about this website. I’ll try to find a cheap fare to Hawaii. My question is what is the Amex Delta certificate?

I’m happy this post was able to help you. The AMEX-Delta free companion certificate comes with the AMEX Delta Platinum credit card when you pay your annual fee every year. I’ll go into more details about the card in a future post since I value this particular benefit and have used the cert on a few trips. Thanks for visiting my blog.
