Daily Getaways is sponsored by the US Travel Association and offers discounts for hotels, car rentals, attractions, and more. There are some good deals available, so it’s a good idea to browse the list on the calendar. Each listing begins at 1pm Eastern Daylight Time/7am Hawaii Standard Time.
The catch? There aren’t many packages offered, so you’ll need to act fast if you want hotel points or tickets to a major US attraction like Busch Gardens or Universal.

Any Good Deals?
If you’re heading to Las Vegas, the hotel deals may provide good value for a luxury getaway, especially with extras in dining credits, shows and limo transfers. However, there are many cheap accommodations in Vegas, so if you don’t care about the luxury experience, then I’d skip this deal.
Wyndham, Expedia and Omni Hotels can provide some value if you do the math. If there’s a specific property and specific dates you have in mind, compare the prices. If you don’t have a property in mind, I’d caution against purchasing points or certificates speculatively as redemption rates could change in the future, which could devalue your purchase.
One year I eyed the Universal Orlando Resort vacation package (flights, hotel, park tickets) since it would be a huge value for someone flying across the country. $600 per person for a family of 4 is a pretty good deal. It’s not very good if you live near Orlando as the terms state that Universal can deem you driving distance to the location and forfeit the flight portion of the package. There are also some blackout dates that could affect travel (see terms and conditions for more info). However, if you can use miles and points to book this trip, I’d forgo this deal altogether.
