Any Good Deals?

The Universal tickets may be good for a family of 4. And what better time now that the Harry Potter park just opened up in Hollywood. However, there may other options for cheaper tickets when bundled with hotel stays or travel agencies.

I haven’t stayed at either Loews or Fairmont hotels. These deals seem a little pricey as I could use hotel points for free or cheaper nights. If you have a specific property in mind and the math shows value, then this could be a good deal.

I don’t use Alamo, but these certificates could provide value for possibly a one or two-day rental close to $50, as that would be a 50% discount. If the rental time is longer and cost more, it may be better to use a coupon or corporate discount code instead.

Hyatt points may provide some value if you do the math. If there’s a specific property you have in mind for specific dates, compare the prices. For example, I purchased points last year for my trip to Japan and found great value (half the cost) at the Grand Hyatt Tokyo. I’d caution against purchasing points speculatively as redemption rates could change in the future, which could devalue your purchase.

The Final Word…

It doesn’t hurt to check it out. If your heart is set on something, start right when the listing goes live. Keep in mind, it may sell out quickly, sometimes within minutes. Good luck!
